Reddit reviews Biochemistry Student Companion, 7th Edition

I just looked at his textbook (credit where credit is due: he has posted a free downloadable PDF) and it's self-published and about as well-proofread as his websites:

  If, by some freak accident, I found myself in a class that used Jensen's textbook, I'd demand that DeVry refund my tuition.
  
  For comparison, this chemistry textbook's first author is also a non-tenured lecturer. Notice that it has several authors, is published by a reputable textbook publisher, is on its 7th edition, and does not fill pages with silly cartoons about high-velocity lead poisoning. (Also it's expensive.)
