What I would like: This to help me not have to stand as long to chop and slice stuff when cooking (bad back)

You guys are amazing! This sub never ceases to amaze me.

Since I'm super lazy and I stupidly decided to make ALL of the food for my son's birthday party, this beautiful piece of machinery would make my life so much easier. Plus, I've been wanting one for years now...they're so pretty. You know you want to. C'mon...gimme ;) lol

Or if Reddit Raffle decided to have mercy on my poor little soul, these little doodads would be so nifty.

Overnight oats are the best!

If you can get a small cheap immersion blender or food processor, you can grind up the oats and make it more like a smoothie.

English muffins and cream cheese or peanut butter can be a good grab & go breakfast.

I actually have 2 food processers. My first is a 7 cup one similar to [this one] (http://www.amazon.com/Black-Decker-FP1600B-8-Cup-Processor/dp/B0038KPRG6/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1344264139&sr=8-4&keywords=7+cup+food+processor). The second one is only 1.5 cups. It's very small and honestly not very good with any amount more than a cup. I think its [this one] (http://www.amazon.com/Black-Decker-HC306-One-Touch-Electric/dp/B000I0DV6W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1344264230&sr=8-1&keywords=1+cup+food+processor). I also would like to get a spice grinder [like this] (http://www.amazon.com/203-42-Electric-Coffee-Grinder-Stainless/dp/B00004SPEU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1344264296&sr=8-1&keywords=spice+grinder), for when I need to grind spices, nuts, or make some breading-I am partial to coating chicken strips in a cracker similar to cheese itz, but the small food processor doesn't get it fine enough.

That being said, you mind be able to get a blender. I use my blender when making things that are more like smoothies. I am unable to handle curry and not very partial to hummus so I cannot say if that would work.

I think a Food processer is very important! You can use veggies in crazy ways if you can break them down. Even nuts can be used as a cookie base. It's a little more work but making homemade sauces can be so much healthy, especially if you can sneak in extra veggies!

Lets all sing Portion Control amen. And don't forget measuring cups and spoons, to control condiments, you could also just use the cups instead of the fancy portion measurer

I also recommend getting one of these under desk peddlers promise yourself you'll use it when watching T.V or doing reddit.

Pedometer a nifty affordable way to keep track of how much you are actually walking. I'm going to buy one just to make myself walk more!

Tape measure this is going to be surprisingly important. I've been trying to get back into shape since last September and I've only lost 15 pounds. I didn't keep track of my measurements, and I wish I had. My pants are almost falling off, but the proof of the numbers would be more of a morale booster. Easier to pass on the second helping of Chinease food if you KNOW you're making progress!

I wish you great luck! I think eating healthy is most important, but it feels so good, to just work the heck out,and be covered in sweat, and know you whooped that workouts ass! And another idea is to watch your department stores, I got my $200 stationary bike for $40 bucks, because it was a floor model, and was missing a little cover on one of the edges that touch the floor.

Well, as you probably figured from the fact the instructions were still on the counter, the B&D is brand new. I was a little concerned at first since it was so inexpensive relative to others of a similar capacity ($35 vs $100), but after digging through the reviews it seemed solid, and after using it once I can say it works well. The only thing I cannot attest to is it's longevity, however after seeing it through it's first rodeo I can say confidently that I'll definitely get my money's worth.

>I take it the processor doesn't have any sort of tamper?

This is my food processor and it does have a tamper

>Do you have a pic of the size of the processor relative to the amount of material being processed?

I don't have a pic but the 3 cups of almonds filled the bowl about 3/4ths of the way through

>Pulsing for a while once it turns to a powder until it clumps up might help as well

I'll give this a try

The thing I have used the most on keto/cooking at all is this!
I'd also recommend a food scale.
