It looks like he is wearing the FatShark Dominator v2/v3 goggles (not sure which).

The drone appears to be an Inductrix FPV. EDIT: it could also be a 3d printed model similar to the Inductrix... but it does appear to be very similar

This is a very popular combo for practicing FPV flying indoors apparently

The minicopter is most likely the Inductrix FPV.

You can get them standalone for around $80-90 and with a controller for a bit more.

Standalone: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LYZ2KI1/ref=psdc_11608080011_t3_B01M0FW1ZZ

With controller and a screen:

As for the FPV goggles I think he is using a very expensive FatShark Dominator that is around $450 on amazon. You can go much cheaper though. I have the FatShark Predator which was around $200-230 and you can go cheaper than that.

I can't really see what type of controller he is using but probably something similar to a Spektrum. They are around $100-$300 depending on what you want. You don't really need an expensive controller for a little minicopter though.

Altitude hold and return to home are just a crutch. While they can make learning slightly easier initially, it won't be long before she outgrows them completely (a couple of days of practice, at most). If you're REALLY set on something with altitude hold, you can look at something like the JXD 510G but personally, I don't think it's all that fun to fly and I have trouble recommending it for beginners.

I've been suggesting the Tiny Whoop as a great beginner quad to anybody who is looking for something that can also do FPV.

It's really tiny (good for indoor flying), durable, and some of the parts, such as the motors, are upgradeable down the line.

There's a package complete with a transmitter and FPV monitor already. Or you can get the BNF version which comes with ONLY the drone, so you can spend the extra cost on a higher quality transmitter and some very basic beginner FPV goggles (FPV Goggles > FPV monitor, in my opinion).

Oh and dont forget to pick up some spare batteries too!

Read the description of the video. Complete shopping list is in it.

Edit: Keep in mind this is a racing quad. May want to consider swapping to a spectrum radio and getting a mini whoop (Inductrix FPV BNF https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LYZ2KI1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_NRSwyb5SQE30M) to build skills.

The Blade Inductrix is will bind to your DX8 and is fun to fly indoors and outdoors in light wind. Mine has taken a beating (run in to walls, 20 ft drops on to hard floors, ceiling fans, etc) and still flies great. I added the spektrum fpv monitor which screws into the lanyard hole of my DX6 and zip all over the house with it.

I've been thinking about the Inductrix whoops, and I already have an AT9 transmitter. Will that bind, or is there a module I need?
