There is no evidence that SSRIs work by correcting any chemical imbalances, thats a marketing myth from the pharmaceutical companies that makes people feel more comfortable with taking antidepressants. There's also very little or no evidence that show any link between chemical imbalances in the brain and depression or any other mental disorder.
