If you think it might be pain related look into agmatine sulfate. It's very well tolerated in humans and dogs and studies have shown improvements in dogs with osteoarthritis and neuropathic pain. It also seems to improve the effectiveness of some other pain relievers, at least opioids and cannabinoids (cbd - don't give your pup thc). It's quite cheap and you can buy it in bulk on Amazon for less than $50/kilo or a bit more for smaller amounts.
