I use this to haul around my Colt AR15A4 with an ACOG on top. It's a tight fit, but it definitely fits. It also doesn't scream tactical which I like. Couple mags, ear plugs and glasses all fit in it with the rifle. Hope this helps.

I use this case from Amazon. It works pretty well for a cheap soft case. I've put my ARs, handguns, my Scorpion, etc all in right after firing hundred of rounds and it hold up very well. Never a melted bag to my gun lol. Bonus, it'll fit up to a 10.5" AR pistol with the brace collapsed/7.7" Scorpion with CZ arm/TH brace unfolded on one side, and you can stick mags and stuff on the other side. Rifles you'll have to separate the upper and lower and you can stick them on either side of the divider. I've stuffed it before with a 7.5" and 10.5" pistol on either side lol. It's not the prettiest looking, but I feel it's fairly discreet and it works better than the price might suggest. I've had mine for over two years and it honestly hardly looks that used.

I have one or two of these inside a wheeled suitcase. Clothes are in my backpack.

OP is referring to this.

I had a law folder on my 9” 300 blackout but the nut of the law folder kept coming loose where is connects to the rear of the lower. Now i’m back on the hunt for a bag at least 25” as I carry my 300 blackout pistol everywhere i go. Anyone know of a backpack 25” long in height?

I have one of these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005CGLUVU/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1451851059&sr=8-1&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=bulldog+ar15+case&dpPl=1&dpID=41Gn0rqYXqL&ref=plSrch

I now use it mostly for my 11.5" SBR and 14" SBS as it can hold both of them at the same time (the SBS is a tight fit). But I have also used if for my 16" AR broken down with the upper on one side and the lower on the other.

It works, doesn't scream "rifle!" and has held up pretty well so far.

I'm really happy with this Bulldog Ultra Compact Discrete case. Doesn't look like a gun case, fits my separated recce 16 plus a couple of mags and a pistol or two.

Bulldog Cases "Ultra Compact" AR-15 Discreet Carry Case in Navy (29-inch). I bought this one and am happy. It has slots to hold 2 30 round magazines.

It has 2 sides, which I use for each half of the receiver. Technically, you could 2 two taken down rifles.

I have this one for a 20" upper! It's a little tight but it fits, should work no problem for a 16". Also has pockets for two mags.

I'm considering buying a second one. Good luck!

I like discrete cases, I have this one for simple range trips, if I'm bringing a pistol, multiple uppers or more then just the a single rifle, I use this one.
