The brick itself is fine. They usually come with a Korean cord, but its the same generic cord your PC uses. I'd recommend using one those instead of an adapter, assuming yours comes with one. Most people have extras lying around the house, but if you dont they're dirt cheap anyway.

As far as them going off ebay, I dont see why not. Prices might fluctuate and the models available might change, but Korean IPS displays have been available through ebay for over a year. Take your time, do a lot of research on different models AND SELLERS to find one that works for you, and you'll be fine. I recommend checking out the posts on Overclock.net, they have lots of good information on these displays.

not sure what your friend is doing then... sure he knows what he is doing?

you can buy the cable, typically this would work http://www.amazon.com/C2G-Cables-03130-Universal-IEC320C13/dp/B0000510ZO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1464406329&sr=8-2&keywords=computer+power+cord

A flat minor.

Or a standard PC power cord. Either way. Either way's good.

I would bet this is the power cable you need:

http://www.amazon.com/C2G-Cables-03130-Universal-IEC320C13/dp/B0000510ZO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1406465659&sr=8-1&keywords=universal+power+cable

That is a standard universal power cable. Look for a place the above will plug in. If not take a picture of the place you need to plug power into.

Any power cord will work, youre probably looking for something like this Otherwise, just a extension cord works as well.

It is called an "IEC C13" power cable. Read here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEC_60320#C13/C14_coupler

They can be had for extremely cheap from any electronics / computer supply store and most computer repair shops will have a bucket of them lying around that they don't know what to do with. They are the standard power cable for almost everything.

Yeah, or 3-prong power cable. As I said, it's a generic cable and can be used by other devices with the same pinouts. Here's an example

You need a standard IEC cable. Like these

EDIT: If you don't live in the US, you'll need to get one with the appropriate male end for the plugs in your country.
