FYI (also /u/turmacar), I used to fly with this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000AR7S3A $53 Casio G-Shock. It has dual time, so you can toggle between two digital timezones and the analog hands are set separately, too. (Kind of a PITA to adjust, TBH, but that's a 2x/year thing...) Basically indestructible and gives you "Zulu" time. Doesn't do any of the other cool things (no solar power, no atomic syncing), but cheap AF.

Couldn't find any listings for my old G-301B, but this one's around 43-44mm (without measuring the bumpers), and I can attest that the case wears smaller than your average G-Shock. The G-100 series are around 43.5mm at the least wide areas and around 45-46mm at those bumpers at the sides, so it also doesn't wear like the XL cases.

I'll back up /u/A-A-RON_BALAKAY to say that those are great durable watches at this price point with stopwatches. I have two variations on the 5600 (the thicker one) and love them. Of course, style is personal and part of the reason I like the retro style is that I wore a nearly exact match to these in the '80s.

I took a quick look at watches with stopwatches on amazon in the $50 +/- price range and there are a lot of really cheap watches that I wouldn't expect to last a month of light duty, let alone on a mechanic's wrist.

Check out the style of the [Timex Ironman] (https://www.amazon.com/Timex-Unisex-TW5K96100-Ironman-Full-Size/dp/B01F8WELYK/ref=sr_1_30?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1492662426&sr=1-30&nodeID=7147441011&psd=1&keywords=watch%2Bstopwatch&refinements=p_36%3A4000-6000&th=1) (there are lots of variations)... those can be decent, and the [newer] (https://www.amazon.com/G-Shock-G100-BV-Black-Resin-Sport/dp/B000AR7S3A/ref=sr_1_39?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1492662426&sr=1-39&nodeID=7147441011&psd=1&keywords=watch+stopwatch&refinements=p_36%3A4000-6000) [G-Shocks] (https://www.amazon.com/Casio-Resistant-Multi-Function-Stopwatch-Water-Resistant/dp/B00F8I7IGS/ref=sr_1_212?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1492662617&sr=1-212&nodeID=7147441011&psd=1&keywords=watch+stopwatch&refinements=p_36%3A4000-6000) (but be warned that they're thicker than the 5600 series). Of course, the G-Shocks are thicker, but they will handle anything you throw at them, and some of us kind of like the look of a watch that has gotten scraped up through legitimate use. Good luck.

PS -- If you want to go full tacky 80's retro, [this one] (https://www.amazon.com/Casio-Classic-Digital-Watch-Color/dp/B008A7JEXO/ref=sr_1_20?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1492662426&sr=1-20&nodeID=7147441011&psd=1&keywords=watch+stopwatch&refinements=p_36%3A4000-6000) has some charm, don't you think? :-)

I have that Casio. Love it. It's my dirty work watch because I don't want to damage watches that are actually costly and mean something to me. I wouldn't mind dropping another $11 on another one if this one breaks. It feels and looks great as well. If I had to choose another "through hell and back" watch I think I'd go for a G Shock.

What I like about this watch is that they got rid of the stupid adjustment for the analog hands. On my G-100-BVMUR you need to keep the ADJUST button pressed and the hands start rotating fast, but not fast enough. So good luck if it runs fast like mine does.

If i were an electrician i would be getting something plastic. There are very few 100% plastic watches, most have a metal buckle.

Try cheaper Casios. G100 is antimagnetic

I have this G-Shock that I'm selling for $40, although given that you like Parnis I have a feeling that you're not looking for something that sporty.

I haven't posted it yet, but I'm also looking to sell my Citizen watch, very similar to this one. The one I have doesn't actually say Eco Drive on it, although it does use that system to power it. More important, I believe that it's the right size for you. I don't have calipers, but if you're interested when I get back home in an hour or two I can get pictures for you, including taking a ruler to it. If you want a bunch of pictures I'm hoping to have a post for both of those watches up on the WTS portion of this page tonight or tomorrow.

I wear a G-Shock to the gym and running. It's this one, which is a bit smaller than the big obnoxious ones that teens wear. (I'm 30, so I'd just look silly). If you can pull it off, get a bigger one though.
