We're watching the the prophetic novel, Christian Nation come to pass. It's take on the 2016 election was scarily prophetic. The loss to Hillary and reason why. And this was penned in 2010. I sincerely hope we, as a nation, wake the fuck up.
That's basically the catch-phrase of this novel.

I think the guy's just a narcissist. He doesn't really care enough about supernatural "belief", beyond what other people's beliefs can do for him in the market of public opinion. To me, that's one of the reasons he's so dangerous. He picked Pence for VP, seemingly just to try to appeal to the Dominionist crowd.
