I used magnets I found at my local hardware store - about 2.5 inch diameter each with a metal shell - something like this. Don't remember but I think they were rated at around 40#. I drilled 2 holes in the metal cup and made basically just a spacer so the screws in the lamp would work.
If someone doesn't want to make their own, you can buy them from here - that's where I got my idea (she's is in our club, and they have her light on the demo lathe).
