wow, two people in this whole comment thread who realize that comics don't just fall out of the sky.
It's from Common Grounds #4, published in May 2004. Written by Troy Hickman and drawn by Carlos Pacheco & Jesus Merino.
You can't buy it on Comixology (although they do have some of Troy Hickman's other work), but the collected book is still in print, ISBN 978-1582408415, available from Amazon and elsewhere.

>Writer Troy Hickman (City Of Heroes) welcomes you to Common Grounds, a chain of doughnut and coffee shops where both heroes and villains kick back in their off-hours. Hickman delivers a total of 13 tales of triumph and tragedy putting a true-to-life view on archetypes. The stories are lavishly illustrated by a galaxy of star artists, including George Perez (JLA/Avengers), Sam Kieth (The Maxx), Dan Jurgens (52) and Chris Bachalo (Ultimate X-Men)!
Wikipedia sez: penciling by Carlos Pacheco; inking by Jesus Merino; coloring by Guy Major.
