I do understand business, quite a bit. I understand that if your product is what this is now, with rampant exploiting and cheating that is not dealt with, that the game manufacturer will not sell enough to be profitable. You understand that, right? I may be crazy, but I can do arithmetic.

As a consumer, I would rather pay a little bit more to have a game experience free of cheating exploiting hacking kiddos (which you seem to be defending...are you one of them? Ad hominem, yes, but seems appropriate to the conversation).
As I've said before, but apparently you refuse to understand: for the game to be successful the new-player experience must NOT be what he OP has posted above. New players are going to play on Official servers. Their experience there will define what the feedback other potential game purchasers will see, and it will affect their decision to buy the game.
I should not have to pay a monthly subscription to play a game that lacks cheating and hacking and exploiting.
And yes, I do expect them to pay server admins to be responsible for policing and administering the server. If they want their game to be successful, then this is a requirement.
Do YOU understand business at all? You do understand the goal is to make a product that people like and others will buy, right?

If you enjoyed ark you will love conan. better building no lag on huge bases.. I owned an Arks server for a year.. once we played conan i never looked back. its a much better game except for animal breeding and riding.
think of it as a survival strategy game that annoys you with inventory problems
