Here is what I used: Cord Cover Raceway Kit, 157"... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GPFDL1K?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

My wife actually found some better options at Home Depot that were much thicker and easier to work with.

I just did a similar project. You can clean up the loop by cinching them with reusable zip ties or Velcro ties. Then you can go further by concealing them with cable management tubing. In addition to the black stuff people have posted, there is also the flat raceways that can be stuck to the wall. This is an example but they have larger ones. Link

This will keep the hands away. But if you鈥檙e more worried about the electronics themselves, you can find baby gates or screens to cover the opening. I wouldn鈥檛 board up the area unless you felt secure there was enough ventilation. In my house, that was a concern because my boxes get plenty hot.

Not bad now look into a cable concealer and clean up those cables. Should be fairly cheap and it will look a lot nicer.

The easiest solution would be to daisy chain the shelves together, and use some cable races ways to hide the wires between the shelves. You can then use any of the bagillion, or so, wifi plugs that work with Alexa to power them.

If you don鈥檛 wanna break the drywall and run your cords through the wall, try some some of these. They work well and look very clean. I used them for my wall mounted tv in my house and it looks great.
