I am using a reticam mount with a Cullman magnesit copter

Reticam

[Cullman tripod] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0045HKJZU/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_JGgHwb2Y61321)

The Cullman is a travel tripod, nice and compact and can also be used as a handle of sorts to hold the camera.

A full size tripod would probably be better but less portable.

Edit: spelling & grammar

Hondo Garage's Complete travel bundle might just be the thing you're looking for. If you don't need the rods or follow focus, you could consider the Pop & Lock mini rig

It comes with no cage, but I guess you could adapt it to a 3rd party cage

I personally use the mini rig with a Manfrotto Base Plate Clamp instead of a cage so that I can remove the GH4 from the rig and mount on a video head tripod quickly.

You can also attach monitor attachments
with an optional rosette to the mini rig should you need a monitor option.

My set up involves another 3rd party attachment, the Cullman Magnesit Copter with the ball head removed and attached directly below the Mini Rig's pistol grip. This gives you a way to do stable static shots with the same rig as long as you have a flat surface to place the rig on. Also lets you rest the rig on a table without taking it apart and without resting your rig on its side as you sit at a street side cafe sipping coffee.

To do the same with the default set up, you have to remove the pistol grip, and reconfigure it with the stock in an overhead grip configuration, then put every thing back together again before you leave. I'm a lazy person. I like to just travel light with just the rig and a travel video tripod

Alternatively, you could buy a Pop & Lock Pro which is just the mini rig minus the pistol grip, buy an Arca Swiss clamp, attach it to the Cullman mini tripod and do away with the pistol grip altogether. With this setup, you can use it as a ghetto slider as demostrated here by Dave Dugdale.
