So looking at reviews it is apparently about 10 gallons. I got this when it was on sale so if you wait till around Christmas it is usually half off.
As someone who has a round bowl: because curved surfaces are harder to clean. With a rectangular tank, you can clean the glass just by scraping down the sides with an old CC. Also, in a circular bowl, you have less "floorspace" (and more swimming space) which can make decorating and planting very tricky (because the substrate is shallower on the edges).
This is a 10 gallon bowl on Amazon that looks very similar to what she uses.
