If you really plan to copy this you might need to break som DRM called Macrovision. Cheapest way is to get a macrovision stabilizer . More details here http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/189455-How-to-address-anti-copy-%28Macrovision%29-errors

All the digital video stabilizers are about the same innards from China, https://www.amazon.com/Digital-Video-Stabilizer/dp/B000OITAPE You may find one cheaper on ebay but not by much. Also, make sure the heads on your VCR are clean. The stabilizer will help with drops and shoddy signal but only if the VCR can read the tape.
