If its the one I got from kohls for $80 yeah sucks dix and cox. Poor resolution (looks like
480 x 600480 x 240) and fuzzy image. I returned it the next day.It sounds like you were taken by the old White Van Scam. This is a very very well known scam that started with speakers and has since expanded to other electronics.
They'll show you magazines, websites and other promotional material listing all these fake specs and an insanely high MSRP. A common line would be that they were doing an install and that these parts were overordered and they're just trying to make some money back.
The hard truth is that it is likely absolute junk. The innards are probably more similar to this than a real home theater projector.
