If you're interested in pretty good cyberpunkish thing set in the Elite setting, try Elite: Wanted.
The setting is based on early dev stuff, so there are some minor oddities (such as "microjumps" instead of "supercruise") but otherwise, I found it quite enjoyable. (There are other Elite: Dangerous novels and short story collections, you may want to read the reviews.)
And if you enjoyed The Expanse, novelwise I could recommend some of the Elite books. Similar aesthetics in terms of a "used" looking universe, and the struggle of independent pilots trying to make a living among the stars.
Specifically, Wanted or Reclamation are two stories I'd recommend.
