i use a very similar recipe. I use .25gm baking soda and .74gm of epsom salt. There should not be any sort of salty flavor in the water. If you taste the water by itself it should taste pretty close to your average filtered water. What kind of epsom salt are you using? I am using this brand for the epsom salt
and poland springs distilled water.
Cool. I love it when easy answers solve problems.
I make a mixture of 3 parts baking soda and 5 parts food-grade epsom salt (https://www.amazon.com/Pure-Organic-Ingredients-Magnesium-All-Natural/dp/B075MV4F58/ref=sr_1_2_sspa) , then add 1/4 teaspoon of that mixture to a gallon of our well water. Then I use that as my Keurig water. If I'm going through a lazy phase, I'll buy the Walmart "drinking water" (not distilled) and use that without adding anything, but the water I mix up myself seems to work and taste better.
