Looks the price has gone back up - it was part of those American sales they have after their 'Black Friday' - a few people over on the Australian Whirlpool forums said they were going to get the $399 combo deal. Definitely worth keeping an eye on if the current price is a tad too high.

Amazon seems to now be taking pre-orders for the white version now.
Hopefully this link works.
I'm on the fence right now. With the announcement of so many phones this month, I may have to attempt to enhance my patience.
Thanks for the ideas. Here's where I stand with the setup right now, in addition to my thoughts on your ideas:
> If you don't plan on using your the cable management grommets built into your desk to route cables then you can buy something like this and get some use out of them.
That was a mistake on my part. When I ordered this desk, it came with the option of having grommet holes drilled in, or being flat. But because it's a sit/stand desk, it cannot be against the wall, so cables run better behind it than through it. I'll eventually be replacing it with a flat white tabletop with no grommet holes. I considered the ones you suggested, but that would just lead to visible cables.
> If your keyboard uses standard-sized keycaps then definitely look into buying some white aftermarket ones like these so your keyboard will look something like this.
Omron (Romer-G) switches, so no major custom keycaps yet. However, I prefer a white base with black keycaps (I don't know why, since everything else on the desk is black base with white top, my wife previously suggested the same idea as you). I'm considering [THIS] (http://www.colorware.com/p-771-logitech-g810-keyboard.aspx) (same keyboard, gloss white base), or painting it myself. We'll see, not a priority.
> Maybe a white vinyl skin for you phone?
Getting a white [Essential] (https://smile.amazon.com/Essential-Phone-Unlocked-Display-Camera/dp/B0748TWQHK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1503848407&sr=8-2&keywords=Essential%2BProducts&th=1) or a white/silver Pixel 2. I'll have the new phone by November, whichever I decide on.
> Change your taskbar to use small icons (Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Use small taskbar buttons).
> Get TransparentTB and put a shortcut to it in startup (Win+R > shell:common startup)
I actually like the TB the way that I have it setup up, though I do think yours looks nice as well. I like to combine minimalism with functionality, and it looks like you and I went for a different mix.
> Move all of your system tray icons to be hidden aside from the time and remove the colon that from the time display.
I've hidden most, but there are some that I want to be visible at all times as I'm continually clicking on them for certain things.
Pure White is out-of-stock, but keep checking back and see if it restocks.
This is the second lowest it's ever been, anywhere. It was $160 after tax if you were a Sprint subscriber over 1 year ago.
Check the slickdeals thread for reported availability.
Thank you, will try that, but just saw that they are listing it being sold by Amazon at 652 USD for the white model...
here
It's quite distant from the 499... :(
