Not sure how helpful I can be, but I'll give you whatever information I can about what works for my red eared slider. He's about ten years old. The tank is maybe about 4'x2', not sure exactly. At some point we'd like to get a larger one for him, but he's pretty content right now. I use a corner filter to conserve space (Something like this, there should be an option at pretty much any pet store). It keeps his environment mostly clean and I do a deeper clean every month or so where I take him out and wash everything in his tank.

I also have a water heater, it's a little tube that sits in the water and turns on in case it gets too cold. This is important in my area because we have cold winters, but it may not be essential for you. (This isn't the model I have, but something like this might do)

I also have a few large rocks in the bottom of his tank that I switch up whenever I clean just to change his environment a little and give him something new to look at.

Something that I found to be important is having a basking light and a UV light for him, because he's indoors and while he's near a window, it's not enough light for him, especially in winter. I have those set up on a timer so I don't have to remember to turn it on and off every day.

Speaking of basking light, he will need a place that is not in water where he can sit under the light. I used to have a floating island wall attachment for this, but he kept knocking it down, so now I just have two of those filters from above, back to back, and he likes sitting on them. You'll find out what your turtle likes and doesn't like as time goes on. It may be a little expensive getting his/her tank together, but it'll be worth it definitely to have the filters to keep it clean and the lights on timers so his daily upkeep is fairly simple. Sorry I don't have pictures of my set up on hand, I hope you can at least use some of this info!
