I'm having a similar issue. I dont have much in my tupperdor (almost two boxes worth of basins) and I have about 5-6 large 69% boveda packs (overkill, I know) in there, and my hygrometer is consistantly reading 70-73. I placed the lid of a basin box in there and it helped for a few days, but then the RH went back up to above Boveda %'s

I'm not in an overly humid place (middle Tn) but geez, I cant seem to keep my RH down to 69%

I hope we figure this out because I would hate for all my basins to mold and me not catch it soon enough. If anyone has any idea please share them.

Another thing to mention is our house usually stays pretty cool, the wife gets stuffy when the temp of the house is above 69.

I bought an Extech hygrometer a couple of years ago and haven’t had any problems with it.
