Oh here's the guy I was originally looking for but couldn't find: Kurt Wise. He has a Ph.D. in geology from Harvard, maybe the best school in the entire world, and yet completely rejects all the overwhelming geological evidence there is that contradicts creation - he's a young earth creationist. And he has also written a book full of lies and bullshit:

So yeah, another example of how even an advanced degree in a relevant field from a top university doesn't preclude you from being a dumbass, which this guy has, for whatever reason, elected to be.
