He made an instructional DVD about "Fine Woodstrip Canoe Building" before Parks And Rec aired. Seems pretty manly to me.

Not only that, Nick Offerman can actually make a pretty mean looking canoe IRL: http://www.amazon.com/Fine-Woodstrip-Canoe-Building-Offerman/dp/B004T4KZY4
Here is a guide by Nick Offerman. Haven't seen it so I can't vouch to the quality, but reviews look good.
Here is the youtube channel of some of it.
For anyone interested, the DVD is available on Amazon:

Your canoe building videos look awesome, but I have zero experience with woodworking. Have you considered doing an introduction to woodworking series of videos? I would totally buy them.
Did this DVD ever come out? Is this it? http://www.amazon.com/Fine-Woodstrip-Canoe-Building-Offerman/dp/B004T4KZY4
I actually have this book as well but feel it's still a bit too big of a project for me to tackle at this point (still buying all the tools).
I remember awhile back there was a dvd on strip canoe building I watched as well that showed a lot of the nuances you might miss from the book. Here's one with Nick Offerman from Parks and Rec - http://www.amazon.com/Fine-Woodstrip-Canoe-Building-Offerman/dp/B004T4KZY4
