The best thing is to use tissue on your fingertips and hold your upper lid open by pinning your eyelashes up. When you put the drop keep from blinking by holding those eyelashes up. Pull you hand from your eyelashes and move the tissue to the bottom lid. Now close your eye. Blinking = squeezing, thoughtfully closing your eye = less mess. I know this sounds like rubbing your belly and patting your head but it can be done with practice. It is also easier if you can use both hands and have someone put the drop in for you.
