This seems to be the last batch of the 7th gen cpu ones so if you can hold out until April the 8th gen do sound pretty sweet. I'd personally rather sooner since I've been looking to replace my laptop since last fall, but the 8th gen cpu looks like a nice consolation prize if it comes to it.
Why are you shilling that laptop so hard? I've held both and the Gigabyte's build quality really isn't that great. In fact, the only real memorable things about it were the light bleed and the weird webcam placement. But don't take my word for it. Comparing the two spec sheets at the same price side-by-side we see only a few differences

Looks like dual drive (SSD and HDD)... I guess that's a yes.
I can think of couple of options this MSI GE63VR Raider, the PROSTAR Clevo P950HR, and if you care about battery life there is also this areo 15x but that is a little over your budget.
