I want to buy a pair of Golden Fox moc toe boots but I don't know which color to choose. I also have no idea what the difference is between "brown" and "brun" since amazon doesn't have different pictures for the two. I'm also interested in the red, but I can't really decide if it would be as versatile as I would like.

Golden fox are decent, they have goodyear welt so you can resole them if need be.
