My dog carries a small backpack with both my water bottle and her Gulpy water bottle. I do bait her water a bit with a bit of chicken broth. But she's pretty good about asking for water.
I don't run with her over ~77ish. I'm uncomfortable taking her out once it's above that.
instead of taking waterbottle and bowl with you for the dog, you might want to check out something like this. this way if you bring a backback or something, you can just throw it in there and not have to worry about it spilling / taking out a whole bowl for the dog.
How old is she? General rule of thumb is that they're 50% of their weight at 4 months, and 80% of their adult size at 6 months. Keefer never grew into her ears, so maybe you've got hope!

Ah, I've just started running with mine as well. Though my dog is very easily distracted, so most of the time it's been less running and more trying to stop all the time to smell things.
