Most recently I've been super enamored with the H2O4K9 water bottle.
It's basically a stainless steel water bottle with a big cap that you can fill to let the dog drink out of it. I use it basically every day now that it's getting warmer again. I got it with the neoprene sling, so I bring it along for trips to the dog park and longer walks.
But what's super nice is it's designed that it's really easy to pour unused water back into the bowl easily. And you don't have to carry an extra bowl. Granted, on hikes when I think I'll want water, I'll bring my camelback and a dog bowl and just dump out unused water, but when I really just want water for the dogs? The water bottle works great.
Granted, it's probably not going to be great for a newfie or great dane. But I've seen a standard lab use it just fine. And while the water does get a bit dirty because one of my dogs has a beard, I still really like it.
