Use harris stay clean liquid flux. Only thing I've found that will stick to stainless. Break down and buy some. Only cost you about $15 and will be cheaper than a plumber.

Worked well. The flux is just straight acid though, so be careful with the fumes.
I've fixed a couple pinholes in kegs that have gone 2 years without leaking again. I used silver solder. One "pin hole" was a little bigger than a pin too.

Just use a propane or MAP torch. It doesn't need a lot of heat, go slow. Brewhardware has some instructional videos on silver soldering that might be helpful to give you an idea on how it works. It's pretty easy though.
