Super late on this one, but - these recessed magnetic contacts work great inside the strike. You will need to attach a magnet to the lock's bolt, but theyre the same parts that most alarm systems use to detect door closure.
Other than the modification to your bolt, it's a good low-visual-profile option. It also requires every little adjustment because the polarity of the magnet allows for a wide range of lateral coverage.
