The "sexual content" of the book in question, In my Mothers' house, consists of acknowledging the existence of gay couples with children. The book is a sweet story of an interracial family that has two mothers. Yep. Just portraying the existence of gay couples still gives Mormons (in Davis county) the vapors.

Books I like (and so does my daughter):

My Princess Boy by Cheryl Kilodavis and Suzanne DeSimone

In Our Mothers' House by Patricia Polacco

The Family Book by Todd Parr

William's Doll by Charlotte Zolotow

It's Perfectly Normal by Robie H. Harris and Michael Emberley

And pretty much everything Leslea Newman has ever written for kids. :)
