Changing from a bucket seat to a convertible helped but i see that seat is already a convertible. Cool toys helped. My son loves this one but he was older than yours when we added it so ymmv:. In addition, someone back there to feed him helped (at least until he was full). The single biggest helper was honestly a tablet with Sesame Street or Daniel tiger on it. I waited so long to do it as i wanted to limit screen time but i should have done it sooner. A frazeled Mama driving is more detrimental. Also, he loves k-pop so i play that as well. We tried white noise, silence, childrens songs, my favorite music, an array of toys, someone back there to play with him and none of it made any difference to him. Hes still not a big fan of car rides and will sleep for 1/2 hour max but the tablet and k-pop (hes a huge fan of PSY) are the biggest helpers. Good luck, i know how much it sucks :(
