I used to faff about with an additional battery and charger plugged into my car all the time so I could swap out the batteries when it gets later in the day, as heading out at about 8-9 meant that if I hadn't charged my phone fully during the day then I was screwed. This extended battery in conjunction with JellyBam (custom ROM) and Greenify has completely changed the way I use my phone now, it feels as though it's had a huge burden taken off it; as a result I go through quite a bit more data, though it's well worth ~£25 delivered.

2300 mAh isn't that big of an improvement over the stock battery (2,100) so I would say you probably shouldn't expect a huge increase in battery life. They do sell them in packs of 2 with an external charger for a good price though.
