It'll help with mindfulness (not saying you should stop) and like everything else it takes small baby steps over and over.
It also sounds like you don't believe any of this will work for you, and that makes it all the more difficult. Look up growth mindset vs. fixed mindset and see how you may be rationalizing why you can't change.
