No - this one. Looks like the white is on sale... I tried pulling up my order to see how much I originally paid but it's not coming up. I picked up the black one a while back - and the picture now looks glossy, at least on the sides. Mine is completely matte. It appears to be the same product, though. DO note that the 12V contract is 3A, so that'll max out at 36W - you'll want to get the 15V cable in that case. Check out the pictures for an idea of the size - I bought a handful of highly rated PD chargers and that's the one I carry around with me when I travel. Looks like Anker is also selling a similar one now, but it's 30W max.

Yep - Agree completely on the Surface Pen. I think hardware wise it's totally fine, it's just the SW integration is never pen first on Windows that I've found. If you find a good app, it's kind of a pain on moving the files around from a "workflow" perspective.

I'm not a huge fan of the apple "way" either - but the focus on user experience (and restraint) has me at least exploring. Not sure I'll be sticking with all the devices in the long run, but for now the iPad Pro has been surprisingly usable. I'm trying to challenge my limiting mindset preference for Windows as "I use it because it's what I've always used" - if my experiment actually reveals macOS is worse for my needs, I'll switch back (at least on desktop/"real" OS side).

Anyways, good luck!

Edit: Just for completeness - the cable I used looks like this:

I want to say I got the J-go one, but my order isn't showing up... I must have placed it on an old work account :(

I remember reading some of these cables have a problem where they are powered up before connecting to the surface, so it can have a dangerous short - definitely read the reviews. The new ones seem a LOT cheaper - maybe they've fixed issues and gone more mass market...
