These are my first good leather boots I've had for less than a year. I live in Seattle, so I use Kiwi Rain and Stain Protector every now and then to protect them against the rain.

Unfortunately, my shoes are already in pretty bad condition.

I'm not sure what kind of leather this is (beeswax??), and how I can take care of it or fix it. I've seen some conditioners and polishes recommended, but again, since I don't know what kind of leather these shoes are, I don't want to use products that might ruin them even more.

Any tips?

You can get waterproofing spray designed for shoes. Personally, I've had good results with this stuff
