I know you said you dont want rain shower head but i just installed this unit last weekend. Took my first shower with it this morning and I love it. The manufacturer has heads that are not rain heads either. Good luck! I was in your same position... I spent days trying to find a shower system i liked that had rain shower and a wand and was matte black. Finally decided to just go with one that had decent reviews.
