It really depends what you want to be acceptable. Most people will discourage humping on people and dogs especially since some dogs won't tolerate being humped. They might allow their dog to have one "hump toy".
Humping at this age is just your puppy not knowing what to do with his energy and usually happens when they're overstimulated. This is what happened with my puppy at 9 weeks with his Lambchop plush so when he'd hump it, I tell him to drop it then sit/down and let him settle before resuming play. Sometimes he's so amped that he'll sit but still want to hump so he humps the floor. He's 13 weeks now and gotten a lot better...until we bought the alligator.
Other dogs and objects like the Alligator toy just give a "hump me" vibe and with that, you can keep working on redirecting. If he humps, the toy disappears for a short period of time (5-30 seconds). I do 3 strikes and he's out, toy goes out of sight for a few minutes or for that play session.
My boy also has humped 2 out of the 30+ puppies he's ever interacted with. When he does it I call him over or grab his collar and lead him away, do some obedience with lots of treats and wait for him to calm down. Then I try to aim him to other puppies to play with. If he goes back to the same puppy AND humps, then I'll do the same thing and increase the time he's in break time. It gets repetitive but he'll get the picture. Most of the time, when I see him hump anything I know he's tired and its time for a nap.
Have you tried the kong stuffed toys? Buiscuit is the same way, but somehow they still have the one you got jericho a year ago! he hasn't been able to tear that one up.
