Welcome fellow traitor! I recently bought a PS4 Pro (I've had like 5 original Xbox's, 4 360's, currently have 2 Xbox One's) and after the last year or so of not many good games paired with what I view as a failure of a console (multimedia route didn't work too well for Xbox) I decided to try a PS4 Pro, I've had it for a few weeks.
The controller is hard to get used to, but everything is so damn smooth. I recommend grabbing One of these charging stands which works great for charging controllers, keeping your console standing up, and keeps it cool at the same time.
I also bought a second controller for long gaming marathons so if my first one dies i just throw it on the charging stand and take off the spare one to play with.

I have a cooling stand with controller charging attachments and it's done wonders in keeping my Pro quiet(er) even when playing shit like Spider-Man and GOW.
