Samsung Galaxy S3 (SGH-T999, though the dimensions and battery is the same, AFAIK, for all S3 sub-models). My current case is a Aduro shell holster combo case. I just use the phone portion of the case, and have a cheapo leather-like generic belt holster (can provide Amazon link if needed).
If you can find either an extended battery that itself acts as a durable hard shell, or a hard shell that fits over one of extended batteries (preferably with the folding stand, that's a really handy feature), do please let me know. My own Amazon/Google-fu is fairly strong but it's been a while since I've looked...
The phone hard shell itself is more important to me than a belt holster, as it's most likely to be dropped when I'm holding or using it.

I really like the case and the holster holds the phone well, while still allowing you to remove it easily. It definitely does not do a whole lot to protect the phone from falls or anything but if you are trying to find a holster, that is not huge, there is a bit of a trade off. The stand really isn't great but it is a $13 case, so if the stand is not a deal breaker than I would recommend it.
I have the Galaxy S3 at the moment and I never actually put the phone in my pocket. I have a hard shell holster and it works really well for me. My phone doesn't really get in the way at all.
The wood case looks nice, but could add a bit of weight. The other looks like it's more durable but adds some more bulk.
I've been exceptionally pleased with this case, which features a flip-stand in the back, great for watching videos, etc.
