Wearing a sweat/headband would probably help. I think this is the one I got:

It works well in keeping the sweat from dripping down. I also use a floor fan which helps.

While that isn't the fan I have, it's similar.
This fan is all metal and blows a TON of air, even on the lowest setting.
Can't you just use a bigger fan instead of the AC? I have this fan and it moves a lot of air, although maybe a little noisy.
