I have a window fan that I use in my small apartment. Only two windows are open to create an intense cross breeze At the same time I have small fans strategically placed throughout my apartment to encourage circulation along with the cross breeze. My apartment gets a little smoky, but generally the smoke dissipates ten minutes after searing is done.

I have this. It works great. I vent it out a second floor window at night.
