I havent used ali express but got this one from amazon. You could try to find it on ali if they have it. Works fine for me.. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01N3P763C?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_pd_title

You bought just an ESP8266 module. Most of the time it makes much more sense to buy one already on a breakout board, or with a built in usb to uart converter. The NodeMCU, or various ones of the same style, tend to be the most popular. Literally all you need to do is plug in a USB cable.

For yours, you will need to buy an external usb to uart board and wire it up yourself. If you are going that route, do yourself a favor and buy a breakout board, if you are using a breadboard anyway.

Would this be suitable for the ESP8266 mentioned?

EDIT: after some research, I found that this was recommended more.

If you just want the ESP8266, why don't you get one from Amazon Prime? Probably cheaper/easier than me shipping you a banged up one :)
