Don't. Why do you want to start a nonprofit? It's just another corporation with some tricky tax and management issues. And it sounds like you're already involved with one. Serving as a director is equally as frustrating (and probably more fulfilling) than starting an organization yourself. And just like the vast majority of businesses have no employees (other than the owner) and no profits.... that's the vast majority of nonprofits too (except they don't have an owner and they don't have "positive revenue"). Why do you think your mission and leadership would be different?
