I use a locking money bag when I'm on the go.like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000SQQGF4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_IxqoDbHH6CR79

Super cheap, portable, and seems like it would be secure enough for your purpose.

Use a locking document bag, like this or this. I often transport pistols in Husky document zip pouches, get 'em at Home Depot for less than $5, but I don't think they lock.

I'm not advocating breaking your mother's rules of the house. However, the best place to store cannabis, for anyone who is wondering, in an airtight container that locks. That way no smell can escape and no one can mess with it. Get one of these and one of these. Hide it somewhere out of sight. Perhaps taped to the back of a drawer or something similar if you want to be extra safe.

Well, maybe she could make some sort of arrangement for her employer to provide a lockbox or something where she could safely store her bank in between shifts. But you know, every restaurant has a register. She could keep one twenty, then break it at the register every day before her shift. Then reconsitute it back to large bills, then deposit those large bills at the ATM except for one twenty.
They also make locking change bags for deposits. https://www.amazon.com/Master-Lock-7120D-Locking-Storage/dp/B000SQQGF4/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=locking+deposit+bag&qid=1555693278&s=gateway&sr=8-3

But it's really about getting her husband to behave. A combination of some frank discussion and locks on her money should solve the problem.
