Ssshhh... Trade secrets. You might get down voted for criticising a loved institution. Now you have got me on my complaining horse again about the state of cheese in the country. The problem is once you have tasted something with a flavour and body, the 'normal rubbish' is often a disappointment.
Someone told me this "cheese" was imported to the United States. I did not believe them. My mistake. It does not remind me of a nice, mature piece of a English cheddar, such as that you can often buy from Stockmann for an eye watering price. Stockman once had some cheese looking like a hockey puck and about the same width that came from a England with strange additive flavours like onion and garlic. I never saw that again. Lidl had some 'not bad' cheese on an English week in the past. I should see if they have more sometime. We have not seen the Russian cheese with a higher fat content when shopping which is a shame as it might have more taste than that "cheese" we can normally get.
I don't know what it is with some cheeses. My girl likes the baby cheese she calls these red balls in a wax jacket (Baby Bell) which come in a little sack. Similarly tasteless rubber things. Expensive too.
I should not think of food at a time when it is time to sleep. To take a snack is dangerous!
