Absolutely. Yes, those for example. And those here are my winter emergency shoes at the moment. I just stick them in my pants and go running, I barely ever need them. Expensive minimalist running shoes are just a way to keep making money when people realize they should not put cushions under their heels while running.

I wouldn't try minimalist shoes ! Only if you run completely without shoes will you find the correct running style. The very first week I made that mistake and it was like a revelation when I shed the minimalist shoes as well. It's really hard to change your running style with minimalist shoes. Go completely barefoot and only take emergency slippers with you. You have to be able to roll them up though, the sole has to be very thin and very flexible. The more like socks the better.

Only do max 20 minutes really slowly. If you are not a forefoot runner your lower legs will be very strained.

Two month and no blisters anymore. For ever. ( well, you know what I mean).
