Thanks for the tip, I'll definitely check it out.

Embarrassing to say, but though I've always loved JH on the Daily Show—and fall more in love with him with every single interview he does—I've never read any of his books. This will be remedied. Right now, I'm still recovering from the fact that the 700 Hobo Names guy made me tear up.

You have to throw about £3 at it but green laser ponter would be cool.

Or maybe I Am America (and So Can You!) by Stephen Colbert.

And you can never go wrong with a classic.

Edit: I almost forgot both book by John Hodgman are great.

Park Slope, a place “where everyone knows one another, and we watch out for our neighbors via a system of silently judging them. In Park Slope everyone is equal, except for the children, who are in charge of everything and are allowed to kill you on sight if you don’t entertain them.” (or so says John Hodgeman)

Ok that's not really a fact. But Prospect Park was designed by Olmsted and Vaux after they worked on Central Park, and apparently they were much more pleased with the results despite it being a smaller area, having learned how to improve the flow of the paths a second time around.
