It's not super sexy but aside from my keezer build, the best thing I've done to my home for brewing is installing a really large utility sink. Here it is on Amazon. It comes with a little faucet and spray attachment, which I didn't use because they're deck mounted. I needed additional height for the kettles, so we built a cabinet from 2x4's and pvc sheeting, used wall mount faucets higher up. The whole thing is nailed into the foundation, and sturdy as hell. I considered stainless as well, but I don't regret going with plastic.
